Gurū Baṅsāvalī - Lineage Of Masters

Though neglected, the living transmission of knowledge via the tradition of 'Seena-ba-Seena' or Teacher-Protege pedagogy is crucial in providing not only a theoretical experience of Brahma-Vidya but also a practical and lived experience. The Guru Shish Parampara (Teacher-Protege Pedagogy) of the Nirmal Vidya Peeth traces back to the divine incarnation of Guru Nanak and the Nirmal Panth as described by Bhai Gurdas and later formalised by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji as described by Pandit Gulab Singh in his Mokṣa Paṅtha Prakāṣa (1777) -

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is the complete incarnation of Harī (īśvara/god)
Formalising the Sikh Panth into two forms (categorised on Rajsic and Satvik Guṇas)
In the hands of one he has bestowed the sword and great strength in the arms
For the protection of the earth and uprooting of tyrants
The Second form (Nirmala) being of those adorning a unalloyed intellect, bestowed with the supreme Viveka (Discernment between Existence and Illusion)
Those are verily known as Nirmalas in this world which understand the Non-Dual Nature of Brahman (Godhead).

The Nirmal Vidya Peeth therefore aims to promulgate the Brahma-Vidya as preserved by the method of the Sampardas (Traditional or Orthodox Sikh Systems of Interpretation and Pedagogy) in which Vedanta, Nyaya, Puranas and Sanskrit is used to contextualise Gurbāṇī and Itihāsa for providing an understanding Gurbāṇī at the best ability.
